Terms of Use for Sonje

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sonje Android app and its optional online features. By downloading or using Sonje, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who may use Sonje

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to online services. If you are under 18, you should use Sonje with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

Some online features require Google Sign-In. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Provide accurate profile information. Do not impersonate another person or create an account for someone else without permission.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create, including cards, notes, audio, images, library descriptions and other materials ("Your Content").

By publishing or sharing content through Sonje, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute to users you authorize, and make backups of Your Content for the purpose of operating and improving the app. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies in backups or where we must keep it by law.

You represent that:

• you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content;
• Your Content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• you have consent to include any personal information about another person;
• Your Content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.

4. Prohibited content and conduct

Do not use Sonje to create, upload, publish or share content that:

• is illegal, fraudulent or promotes illegal activity;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory;
• is sexually explicit, exploitative or harmful to minors;
• depicts or encourages violence, self-harm or dangerous acts;
• contains another person's personal or sensitive information without permission;
• is spam, malware, phishing or a scam;
• infringes intellectual property rights;
• violates any applicable law.

Do not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, overload or gain unauthorized access to Sonje, its servers or other users' accounts.

5. Teacher libraries and online access

Teachers may publish libraries and share access codes. Students may download libraries they are authorized to access. Teachers are responsible for the accuracy, quality and legality of their libraries.

Sonje does not process payments for libraries. Any payment, refund, dispute or other arrangement between a teacher and a student happens outside the app, including through WhatsApp. Sonje is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for them. Teachers are responsible for their own taxes and legal obligations.

6. Moderation and reporting

We may review, remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, and we may suspend or terminate accounts. To report content or a user, contact tteirtititmwe@gmail.com with the library name, the teacher's name (if known), the reason for the report, and any supporting details. See our Support page.

7. App license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sonje on a device you own or control. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or distribute the app except as allowed by law.

8. Third-party services

Sonje uses third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Supabase, Cloudinary, Sentry, WhatsApp and Cloudflare (website hosting). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer

Sonje is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Sonje is a study tool and does not provide professional, legal, medical or educational advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samsuc_tech and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from your use of Sonje. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Sonje at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If you continue to use Sonje after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts located in [COUNTRY], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
